J & K is looking for a Press Brake Operator for 1st shift
Position Overview
This position is primarily responsible for the daily set-up and operation of the press brakes in a precision sheet metal fabrication shop. You may be required to assist other employees as a helper on key work or machines as required by the work schedule.
Essential Job Requirements
• Operate press brake
• Set-up and run complex bend set-ups and forming operations. This includes custom punch/die modification used in combination with other tooling.
• Complex programming using all features of the press brakes. E.g. bending angles, step bends, proper back gauge transfer between steps, delays, etc.
• Understand print reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part.
• Thorough understanding of flat pattern layout.
• Perform quality inspections while maintaining the production process so that quality output is achieved insuring sufficient parts of acceptable quality is produced to fulfill the order.
• Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
• Organize parts and prepare them for the next process.
• Expedite priority work orders as required in cooperation with the Production Supervisor.
• Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have strong metal forming and basic fabrication background.
2. Minimum 2 years experience as press brake operator
3. Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
